The Dulcimerica Video Podcast: Preview 4

Finally, to wrap-up this four-episode preview, this was the demonstration tune that I used at Knott's Berry Farm while working for Cripple Creek Dulcimers there in 1985.

The Dulcimerica Video Podcast: Preview 3

Though I open this episode playing "Hangman's Reel", this performance of "Rosin The Beau" is based on Stephen Seifert's recording of the song.

The Dulcimerica Video Podcast: Preview 2

Here's a version of the well-known fiddle tune "Soldier's Joy" that I've been messing around with. It's a hodge-podge of different versions and quite fun to play!

Welcome!

Aloha!

Thanks for visiting The Dulcimerica Video Podcast page. This idea has been a long time coming and I'm very excited to begin the adventure!

For many years, I've shared my music through recordings and tablature on the internet, and as you know, we often learn by seeing as well as hearing. That's why I videotape just about every one of my performances; because video is an excellent teacher.

At some point, the decision was made to begin offering mountain dulcimer lessons through video, but I wanted to do something more than that. With one music podcast approaching two years of existence in 2007 (that would be AFI Radio - The All Florida Indies Podcast), I had long desired to do another podcast featuring the sounds of the mountain dulcimer.

So, here it is. Song demos, workshops, surprises and road trips across Dulcimerica. Thanks again for checking out this page. And enjoy watching The Dulcimerica Video Podcast!

Me ke aloha,

Bing Futch
