Christmas Music Streaming

There's over 15 hours of holiday tunes on my Christmas playlist and it's cycling continuously on the laptop. The tracks are pretty varied, from your basic standards to really "out there" tunes. The first link below will key you into the live music stream, which I may manipulate and break into live depending on listener ship. The second link is a list of what tunes have been played recently, just to give you an idea of the range going on here.

Tracks include tunes from my latest album "Christmas Each Day" and involve everyone from Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sting, U2, The Darkness, Slade, Disney Theme Park Tracks, Dolly Parton, Josh Groban, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Brian Setzer, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Wham!, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Adam Sandler and you won't believe who else. I'll be adding new tunes as we get closer to Christmas, with an aim towards adding songs relevant to Hanukkah and Kwanzaa as well. I'm shooting for a full 24 hours of non-repeating tunes by December 25th, so chances are you'll hear something different every time you tune in. Happy Holidays and Season's Greetings to everyone!

Though it's not really a "Christmas" tune, the song "Edelweiss" from "The Sound of Music" has become associated with Christmas from its repeat airings on television around this time. The band at the Biergarten in the Germany pavilion in Epcot also like to perform this tune on handbells during the annual Candlelight Processional celebration. Here is a tutorial on playing "Edelweiss" in dd-A-D tuning (Mixolydian) and a few tricks on how to play the tune as originally written - with the elusive Gm chord.
